Marijuana can cure Hepatitis C, WIT research shows

Press Release

Dr. Matt Stone, PHD
Chief of Staff, Wyoming Institute of Technology
June 1st, 2014

For Immediate Release

Cheyenne, WY – Hepatitis C has negatively impacted millions of lives, and medical researchers have tried for decades to develop a vaccine with no luck.  But today, our team at the Wyoming Institute of Technology is pleased to announce that, with the help of our pharmaceutical partners, we’ve cracked the code and can deliver a cost-effective vaccine and cure to the world within the next 14 to 18 months… and we owe it all to cannabis.
Our research into the field of hepatitis C vaccination began last fall, after one of our interns had alleged that she had completely “cured” herself of hepatitis C by edifying and vaporizing a strain of cannabis that she herself had invented, which she calls “Chunky Crimson.”  Upon further investigation, we found that she had not actually cured herself completely, but her initial findings prompted us to launch a full study, which began in our facility in Denver, Colorado in January of 2014.
In May, the WIT team, working closely with a medical marijuana dispensary in Denver and also with a team from GlaxoSmithKline, developed a trial medication based on “Chunky Crimson” which is consumed three times daily, and coupled with a suppository admitted once daily.  Human trials showed that 99.8% of recipients of the test drug were fully cured of Hepatitis C, while the remaining 0.2% showed signs of reversal, and could theoretically be cured with continued administering of the rectal suppository alone.
Pending FDA approval, WIT hopes to begin human trials on a needle-administered vaccine shot later this year.  Meanwhile, the FDA is also reviewing our existing tested drug, which GlaxoSmithKline hopes to begin selling on the market in 2015.  Both drugs should hopefully be available globally in 2016.
WIT does not endorse the illegal production or sale of marijuana.  However, those with legal access to medical or recreational marijuana, in states where marijuana products are deregulated, are encouraged to administer at-home trials using legal marijuana.  The marijuana should be smoked, edified, and/ or inserted rectally once per day.  Please email us at and describe any reactions you may encounter while attempting this.

I’m living proof that Hep C can be cured with Cannabis. In 1998 while donating blood I found out I had Hep C.I was told there was no cure back then. I was told to quit drinking alcohol ASAP or would kill me within 10 yrs so I quit drinking, started to smoke weed more then usual,I smoked it everyday & was told in 2010 I was Hep-C free,I asked my specialist if smoking pot did any good & he replied,” If you took care of your liver by not drinking & smoked pot instead then he said it’s quit possible pot cured it” because I never went for any treatment,I was told it cost $20,000+ for the treatment so people, don’t discriminate, educate so more people have a chance of curing this deadly disease that killed my dad.R.I.P Dad!

Did you smoke a high THC or CBD strain?
At $1,000 a day for Sofosburin, I’m desperate to kill off or at least reduce the Hep C that has me so messed up.

This is great news and please tell me where I can find out more about this study and how I can get the information of what type of cannibus to use and so forth as I was diagnosed in 93, I have just lived as healthy a lifestyle as possible and only recently did my liver enzymes go up so the doctor’s want me to do one of the three new pharmaceutical tx which I would prefer to avoid. The friend who alerted me of this study was given 4 months to live (with lung cancer diagnosis) and did chemo and radiation but has eaten pot (or steamed it in milk) for four years and his doctor’s think it is a miracle. I live in Florida so please tell everyone to vote YES ON Amendment 2 on November 2 so we have the freedom to try this treatment and/or I will be happy to move wherever you are doing your clinical trials.

Diagnosed in 91, has remained acute since with diet restrictions. Would love to be rid of the possibility of further problems. Tested for genotype and viral load but thankfully viral load was only 11,000 and couldn’t determine genotype. Any consideration would be gratefully appreciated for trial. The way I see it, why wait until it’s worse?
